About The Artist

Kekoa Paki

My name is Kekoa Paki.

I was born September 28, 2007, in Colorado, U.S.A., though I’ve spent most of my life living in either Alaska or Washington, where I currently reside.

I am a fine artist who enjoys exploring a multitude of mediums in their work, though I specialize in acrylic portrait paintings. I use those portrait paintings to explore how people’s feelings and history are reflected in their appearance, and how their appearance can convey those things to onlookers.

My artistic journey started when I was inspired to pick up a brush by the work of Karl Schmidt Rottluff and his stylized prints. However, since then, I’ve developed my own style influenced by modern artists such as Florence Lee, Polina Bright, and especially Ger Doornink.

My work has been exhibited in local coffee shops, art fairs, and museums.

I enjoy sharing the joy I feel when I make art with others, and thus am currently enrolled in Western Washington University, hoping to get the degrees and certifications I need to become an art teacher.

I am obsessed with productivity and the act of creation, and it drives me to constantly create new art and explore new mediums. All in the pursuit of bettering my ability to convey different thoughts, feelings, and stories.

If you’d like to learn about what I’ve been working on recently, you can peruse my Instagram account where I post photos and reels of the art I make. If you’d like to buy some of my work, you can go to my website, kekoapakiarts.com, and purchase prints of some of my paintings or learn more about me and my art.
